Social, Emotional and Mental Health...

The Inner East Cluster can provide free therapeutic support to both children and young people and their parents. We can support children/ young people, as well as adults on a one to one basis.

Our team of qualified counsellors and therapists provide a professional, confidential service. Therapy sessions are held in school or in one of our dedicated therapy rooms within the community.

Early support for mental health wellbeing, helps to remove the emotional barriers to learning and build resilience, self-esteem, confidence and appropriate communication skills. We offer an integrated therapeutic approach to working with children, young people and families using age appropriate techniques.

CAMHS in School Practitioner-

The CAMHS in School Practitioner can provide family consultation clinics where they carry out solution focused assessments. They can recommend strategies and refer to additional support where needed.

They can also provide initial assessments for particular needs such as ADHD and Autism and if required, they can refer to a specialist CAMHS service.

Children’s Therapists-

The Children’s Therapy team provide children aged 5-16 years with a weekly therapeutic space to enable them to express their feelings creatively and through art and play, drama and talking.

They work with children who are experiencing a wide range of issues including trauma, abuse and difficult family relationships which might manifest as children experiencing a lack of confidence in learning, being aggressive, withdrawn or upset.

As well as Therapeutic Support for children we offer Adult Counselling.

If you feel that your child would benefit from the support of the Theraputic Team, please contact your child/ young person's school who will be able to make a referral on your behalf.
